So Batwoman's not getting her own comic, she's back in Detective Comics starting with 867?

That's good news. She should definitely get her own title some day, but it's so great to have her in their flagship title.

I'd think they would announce that first. I'm thinking either:

1. Batwoman will guest-star in the Question co-feature.
2. It's just a generic solicitation.

Ha. My LCS said their BN stuff sold too well for them to get this. I can see taking the online image though and putting it on one of those handbound collections like these.

And the Batman looks interesting too. :)

Pretty, pretty coloring. Like the way it's presented too.

But generally, and I know I'm being a blasphemer here, I find Nyugen's art a bit boring. The facial expressions and movement don't come through for me. I think he's better at drawing characters in somber or quiet moments than anything, maybe because his characters seem frozen on the page and somewhat empty.

But yay for the plot summary. I love Robin-y flashbacks. :3

Based on the gloves and belt I'd say it's most likely Dick, even though Nyugen didn't really draw them 100% correct.

Yeah, that's why I said 100% correct. I think Dick has been the only Batman to wear gloves with two blades.

Tony Daniel also seems to have a problem with adding the bands too.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that Daniel Way is a bit cute. =)

Question: has Marvel said anything about the Deadpool variant now that some time has passed? If the video is correct and the only Deadpool part is the cover, I can imagine a few angry people having some words for Quesada and the other Marvel staff for "misleading" them.

Actually, now that I think about it, was the Deadpool variant even a success financially?

you're talking about a man who intentionally trolls Marvel's fans because he believes any PR is good PR. do you think he cares if anyone gets pissed off by this?

I don't think there was ever a Deadpool appearance implied with the variant. Marvel's variants often have no reflection on the contained story, like with the Wolverine Art Appreciation month, or the current Iron Man By Design promotion.

Gotta bear in mind, the variant was released during "Deadpool Appreciation Month" or whatever; every Marvel comic in this month has had a Deadpool variant of some sort. Marvel just decided that this one was somehow more worthy than the others.
