Amalgam Universe Part 5
Mar. 20th, 2010 12:06 pmKeeping up with the project while I've got some free time.
On this entry, I'm not even going to try and make sense of the story in truncated format, because that's nearly impossible; every PANEL is practically a scene change. Stuff moves incredibly fast, and virtually a third of the entire comic is dramatic entrances. Combining the pulp, daredevil heroics of the Challengers of the Unknown with the super-science and cosmic adventure of the Fantastic Four gives us...

(more like Challengers of the CRACK-tastic)
I encourage you to listen to this, as you read through.

Gotta love that intro page. If you're unsure what exactly a "two-fisted senator" does, there's a handy illustration. "I AGGRESSIVELY REJECT THE PROPOSAL BEFORE COMMITTEE!!!"

Senator Grimm wasn't even invited to that meeting. He just muscled his way in.

I don't know why Johnny needed a miniature clone of himself (or where he even got it), but it's there. Also, Cowboy Triton/Karnak. "Well pardner, Ima kick yer ass with kung fu... underwater."

DO NOT IGNORE ME!

So, What If? Sue Storm knew how badass she was and decided NOT to chase after Reed Richards or play mother hen all the time? Sue Storms, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Not many opportunities to show off her awesome skills in this comic, but we do get to see how balls-out gutsy she is.

And a final little reference to Kirby/Lee awesomeness.

That last panel alone breaks the Crack Meter.
Join us later this weekend for everyone's favorite web-gun wielding misfit... Spider-Boy!
