Clois Week: The Wedding Album!

What kind of a Clois week would it be without The Wedding Album? Much cuteness and a suprisingly normal (read: no costumes, no villain attacks, etc) after the cut.

So the story starts out with Lois undercover for a story, exposing and busting a drug-ring... as a bride. Thus, when she comes back to The Daily Planet, she's still in her (now destroyed) wedding dress...

At this point, Lois had called off their engagement, and Perry White has cancer so Clark is acting as Managing Editor. Long story short> Awkwardness abounds.









The wedding is back on! So onto the preparations. Like... hunting for a tux:



BAT TIE! OMG I WANT A BAT-TIE!!! Ahem... so Lois's father is the one angrily yelling "Kent." He makes it clear that he's not sure Clark is good enough for Lois.

In the meantime? Lois's bridal shower:



Riiiiiiiiight...

Both the issues between Clark and Lois's father and Lois's resistance (woohoo!) to "traditional" gender roles come to a head at the rehersal dinner/celebration:





Onto the wedding itself! And the moment that all Superman fans were waiting for in the 90s... NO MORE LONG HAIR!

I know exactly where Lois is coming from, but still - crockpots are awesome. Particularly if you're married to Superman. You take a couple minutes on your lunch break, pull a quick recipe off the internet, tell your super-hearing super-speed husband to fly home and dump all the stuff in the pot and turn it on, bang, boom, that's dinner. Silver lining, Lois. They're being douchebags but that's still a great present.

Love the wedding, though. And I generally loathe weddings on principle, so that's saying something.

Certainly not me. I'm honestly still boggling that you have an animated 8-bit sprite of the thing, complete with perching birds. You gotta crawl before you can pilot military-grade helicopters, y'know?

Well, not 8-bit (that really only describes NES-style graphics), but it's really cool that it's in the style of a Mother 3 sprite.

Who are all those people on the far right? I think that guy in the purple shirt with glasses is Paul Levitz but I don't know who the other guys are. I really hope the artist included Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. (Wait, is that Jerry on the far left with the blue suit and blackish tie?)

Oh Perry's there-- he just is skinnier/balder because of chemo. He's sitting next to Lois's mom (you can see part of his head in the 2nd to last scan).
