Man, Ollie makes me laugh. He's so ridiculous.




For those of you that haven't read this, it's a couple years old so the wedding of GA/BC: the night of their wedding Di stabs Ollie coz she thinks he was trying to kill her. Turns out it was somebody else trying to kill her (kind of weird, I know) So, the Amazons have kidnapped him and want to snatch Di away from him. Heh.




Mia's crass comments are why I love the character.




Di kicks some ass, takes some names, just a regular day for the Black Canary.




I love that Di considers Mia like a daughter. Aww.




Man. She really has been hanging around Ollie too much!!!!



I know GA/BC doesn't seem to be popular around here, but they have some pretty hilarious moments sometimes. Plus Amanda Conner art!




Ollie's tighty whities and old man socks make me laugh.




I love how he's trying to convince her. That seems like a ....familiar situation....Heh.

What amazes me is that underneath all those tights, they'd have normal underwear, with lace and stuff. I always thought they'd have...specialized ones. With padding and insignias and kevlar and pepper spray in case someone wanted to take a peek.

You'd think the women, at the very least, would want sports bras. I'm pretty flat-chested, so I wouldn't really know, but I've heard that if you actually have boobs that are a B-cup or above, running in an underwire bra is highly uncomfortable. Apparently there's not so much support, and the resulting bounceage is painful.

But then, my crusade for sensible women's superhero costumes (and underwear, apparently) is often thwarted by canon...

See, this post is why I think Dinah deserves the honorary Amazon spot more than Supergirl. Dinah could teach the Amazons a thing or two about what a real girl is like.

Oh, and I love Mia. Since Connor is the only guy in the Arrow family with tact and grace, I love that Ollie's gal sidekick takes care of the crassness for him.

I just love all the excuses the artwork has used to not show us Ollie's tackle during that whole scene. If nature itself didn't keep getting in the way, there's still convenient shadows that seem to follow him around O_O.

Man, those are some OOC Amazons. I can only imagine the equivalent would be visiting Krypton before it blew and finding out that the Science Council loved to make fart and boner jokes. Just... WTF, writer? You are aware of the basic concept of the DC universe Amazons, right?

My favorite part is how people try to justify it with "but they were Granny Goodness' fake amazons, of course they were out of character!" You know, except for the part where Dinah seems to think all this behavior is perfectly normal, and apparently knows the rules from hanging out with Diana.

Actually, wait, no. My favorite part is that Mia seems to think there's some kind of debatable ethical issue with an all-female society, and both Dinah and the narrative think she's delivering some kind of totally righteous put-down. C'mon, that is not a righteous put-down - forget the ugliness of the bigotry there, it's not even accurate. Red-staters *love* gender segregation. You're not going to see George Bush advocating co-ed bathrooms or integrated nunneries.

Ollie needs more body hair and the Amazons need better characterization, but the rest is cute and funny.

I like Oliver and Dinah during happyfuntiems.

... OK, I'm all over the Conner art - Dinah's pleading grin there is sososo perfect. BUT.

- the first time I looked at the kitchen scene, I read the image of the sock as Ollie having a mouth growing out of his ankle. The top of the ribbing = teeth; dark crescent below = cavern of the mouth; ribbing below that = teeth.

Even knowing it's a sock, I still can't unsee it. It's like that young girl/old hag illusion.

I love Mia here sticking it to the Amazons. Someone can make ranty speeches right up there with her mentor. I love her. And the Art Amanda Conner AND Cliff Chiang totally some of my favorites. <3

Ollie's naked again... :/ He pretends it's because they took his clothes off but what he doesn't tell you is he was totally naked when they found him *nods* Nudist.

Ha! Yeah, I remember from Sounds of Violence, Ollie was trying to get it on with Di again (this seems to be a theme with them....) and Hawkman came in. Instead of getting clothed, Ollie just started fighting with him naked.

He totally is a nudist!

I love the fact that Mia is very much the child of Dinah and Ollie. She is Crass and sarcastic yet at the same time she is a badass when needed.

I actually like that Mia is showing them up in such a manner. Of course, her ....rudeness was particularly shocking and funny. As for Di, what can I say? I believe that she's one of the few non-amazonian women who can probably be without question one of them.
