Four scans from Blackest Night #8.

Blah blah, heroes win, white light brings back a bunch of people, starting with most (if not all) of the guys who died during the event, such as the Hawks.  Then there's the big return everyone was expecting out of this:

Martian Manhunter's back, as is Firestorm (both of them; seemingly Ronnie and Jason are now the two halves of the Firestorm persona).  Next up:

And Deadman is alive now (he's pretty sure that's not supposed to happen).

Yeah, Blackest Night has brought back the characters I missed most in the DCU -- Digger Harkness! Maxwell Lord! Aquaman!

Okay, I am glad J'onn is back. But no Sue, Ralph or Ted Kord is a damn shame.

J'onn dying was such a nonevent in FC that he probably could have just shown up in JLA and I wouldn't have questioned it for at least a few months.

Requiem was the only bright spot of the whole affair.

Same with J'onn, but the fact that they gave us fucking Osiris and no Ralph, Ted or Sue bugs me. Max'll certainly play a big role in Generation Lost (and how he's played is prolly central not only to one's enjoyment but also the plot itself), but one of the charms of the old JLI was that it featured the most adorable ships ever! We still have Tora/Guy, but where's my Boostle? Where's my Dibnys? Where is my Free family?!

i am a sad king

I know Osiris but not Isis? I liked Isis.

And no Vic, King. NO VIC.

Isis was brought back during the Black Adam mini.

To be fair, I wasn't really counting on Vic. Much as it would be cool to see him and Nee globe-trotting and solving mysteries, he had a good exit and I respect that.

If the cover is any indication, Generation Lost during it's second or third issue will probably deal with Ted in some way.
