I think it's supposed to be that the people he's rescuing are all asking more or less the same questions.

Mmm. I can see that. Problem is, the setup makes it look like it's something significant and that distracts me.

it just means that he is moving so fast that they can barely get two words out before they are brought to safety....


think of it this way. if these people are on the second word of two to three word phrase, and there are like, three there on the second word, hes moving victims at approximately.... three or four a second... thats pretty fast.

I totally agree that it makes perfect sense that it would happen. But the way it's staged makes it look like continuous dialogue and that ends up confusing when you realize it's all different people that are somehow ending each others' sentences.
