With the amazing revelations in #3, the sh!t keeps hitting the fan over at DarkHorse comics. And Newsarama doesn't want to feel left out, either. Images galore behind the cut. Spoilers of major proportions behind the cut.

SPOILERS coming up.

#1.

Psstt.... Langdon Caul, a.k.a. Abe Sapien. "Blue" of the "Blue and Red" team of the B.P.R.D (Red being Hellboy himself)?

He's also got other names. Lovecraftian Dagon. Babylonian Oannes.

Since the beginning clues have been scattered across the BPRD books for almost two decades, with gentle nudges being mentioned in The Universal Machine arc as Kate and the Marquis talk about Abe. The Marquis suspected at Abe's hidden potential and what he really is, just as Rasputin knew what Hellboy is. And now the Black Flame is going to help Abe rise to power, whether he wants it or not.

#2.

And speaking of Hellboy... Liz continues to have her experiences.
*mods, these are just panels provided by Newsarama, not entire pages.

The destruction of the B.P.R.D.

That may be Lobster Johnson, and that of course is Hellboy. And look at the date.

So unless we are looking at an alternative universe...

Discuss.

It's either Lobster Johnson, or Ted Kord got really lost trying to resurrect in time for Brightest Day. :P

Oooo...between this and The Wild Hunt, one does get the feeling that the BPRD-verse is speeding chin first toward something massive. I can't wait.

I just started getting the Hellboy stuff a few months back, after someone posted something about the Wild Hunt. It's amazing how strong the story in these are without "AND THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME" type exposition, which is what I see in DC/Marvel all the time.

Hellboy is a bit more cerebral. Like a graphic story more than a comic.

To quote the words of the Big Red Guy in various stories, "Oh crap."

I just finished reading a buttload of BPRD and Hellboy comics from the library. Now I REALLY want to start getting these.
