I love the next issue promo on the letters page. All it says is Things get weirder.

The idea of magic sex ending the world and creating a new one is getting a knocking from some of you guys, but I don't mind it. It seems appropriately mythic, which is the resonance they seem to be going for, what with the references to the two of them as gods and all.

Am I the only one here who loves this series? A lot of people have been really harsh on it. I'm down with every single storyline (with the exception of Dawn/Xander, because EW).

I think it works, as their respective sig others have been demonified or died of, it makes sense that they turn to one another for.... comfort. Look at the X-men. All they been through and all the hook-ups.

I don't think it's as good as the TV show during its prime, but I like it (especially the issues Whedon actually writes) and don't have a problem with any of the developments.

I'm not outraged by it, but the show lost me in the last few years and honesty, the whole Twilight storyline has just felt like one big WTF-moment.

I like the series...I liked the idea of vampires suddenly becoming popular and the Slayers being seen as bad guys...what with the whole "Twilight" fandom its kind of funny...

I have to say, though, I'm finding all this "epic sex" stuff to be pure, undiluted WTF.

I've been digging it for the most part. Unfortunately, given that...well, I tend to see a lot of what's going on here on S_D, by the time the trade comes out, I've already spoiled myself of the best stuff (most of Dawn's transformations...and MechaDawn).

Still, I've been digging it, as I said. I dug Buffy's adventure in Fray's timeline, which a lot of people didn't like.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel the series reads a lot better in trade form.

I like... parts of it? Most of the plots are okay, and I enjoyed the first few arcs a lot. I don't loathe it like so many here (except for Dawn/Xander, ugh) but it doesn't really grab me. I can take or leave the comics.

Um... I'm feeling like this post would be more awesome if the second image got put back up on a different server, because ImageShack doesn't like whatever it is (is it porn?).

All I have to say of the Buffy comics right now is that I like some elements, don't like others. I reserve the right to hold off of judging the current plotline until it ends, but my hopes aren't that high right this second. It feels like they're trying for something more mythic than the series has typically been, so it seems a little bit out of place.
