First Look At Chris Hemsworth As Thor

Yahoo Movies has posted the first look of Chris Hemsworth in his Thor costume from the upcoming movie. That image and a page from Thor #1 by JMS and Coipel under the cut.



Looks a bit rubbery but hopefully it will look better in motion. I'm just thankful they didn't go with the Ultimate look.

The beard works.

I'm more interested in seeing Natalie Portman in it, but giving Thor a slightly grittier edge might make the character more palatable.

The most commonly used Thor tag is just "char: thor".

It's a very nice-looking costume. Seems like there's a definite chance that this will cement Thor's current look as his default costume.

Is it just me, or does that one piece of bang in front of his face look... crispy? Like it's been coated in hair gel and is just sort of stuck like that. The same thing bothers me about Superman's spit-curl. I don't want to run my fingers through the guy's hair and hear crunching noises, you know?

I so approve of this, he looks wonderful and i think he'll make a fine Thor. I'm very curious to see all the actors in costume and i hope there's a teaser trailer of some sort with Ironman 2.

It's a big budget flick -- would it kill them to pony up the cash for actual metal scale (lamellar?) armor, instead of that rubber or latex imitation crap? Couldn't cost that much more, and it'd look great.
