Me neither. And this makes Kara look even stupider for not letting Alura do whatever the heck she wants with Zor-El's killer. I mean, this is not just a war, Lane/Earth/Reactron want to eliminate every single member of Kara's race. Does she not get that? Clark may have conflicted loyalties due to being raised on Earth but at 18 Kara's spent most of her life with the people on New Krypton.

Well, I'm guessing Reactron knows what death is in comics. VACATIONTIME! He's probably got a few books and even a few movies to catch up on, so "dying" is the way to go.

I don't think he was so happy about sacrificing his life more like he was finally going to fuck up Allura and Kara, he really did hate Kara.

Also he was being tortured for a long ass time, so him dying and taking out his Allura and Supergirl would much preferable for him than just taking more torture

To be honest some of this art looks painful and I'm tired of this story. It seems they want to drag it out forever. We get it - Lane will be found out, Cris and Thara will probably be sent to the Phantom Zone or someplace together and New Krypton and the surviving Kryptonians will leave the present day DCU's solar system to become Rokyn in the Legion's time. I would love to be surprised but everything here seems so telegraphed I can't be interested.

They certainly seem to be flying about pretty easily amid a field of it, don't they? What is this new kryptonite that works except when it doesn't?

Looking at the rest of this issue and Allura's torture of Reactron, I'm brought back to what I said before: have we been shown any positive side to the Kryptonians, or are they warlike, aggressive, ethics-challenged bastards? And they weren't just curdled by their captivity. We've seen in flashbacks that they were feared as a conquering power long before the explosion. How are they different from, say, the Khunds? And in the Daxamites we see them in their purist form: total racists with a hatred of anything different than themselves. The difference is that Kryptonians also believe this gives them the right to dominate, made worse by the powers they now have.

The way it looks now, it IS best for the universe that Krypton exploded. Is that what Robinson intends?

Because my impression of these master-race jerks has not been a good one. It turns out the only good man in Kandor was Kara's father.

You guys are missing the point. If Superman just starts doling out Vigilante justice at whomever offends his sensibilities, then he's lost the battle against General Lane's propaganda.

He'll have shown that he's a monster who doesn't respect human laws. And Lane's propaganda machine will rally public support in "empowering humanity against those aliens trying to pass judgement as gods."

Is that B.S.? Yes, but Logic is rarely involved in propaganda and public thinking.

But the only way to beat that is NOT to play Lane's game. It's for Superman to become even MORE of a "True Blue Boyscout", to put public support back on his side and turn them against General Lane's forces.
