The best I really dare to hope for is that it's made clear whoever she finally does get isn't her first. Hoping said partner is female is far beyond my cynical imagination.

See, my personal canon says that she's bisexual and has had at least one or two lovers back on Themyscara (spelling?). Pairing her with a guy is fine by me, the creepy shit is not. Personally, I'd ship Diana with Artemis, Io, Steve Trevor, or Etta Candy, and in very specific circumstances am ok with Bruce (mainly in the Justice League cartoon). Other exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis depending on how good the writer is and how enjoyable the other character is. And OMG I'm not the only one who would shorten Artemis to Temi as a nickname! I have never seen that before. <3

Oh, that interview with Pasko? Yeah, that was obnoxious, but I was pleasantly surprised to notice how many commenters in the CBR thread honestly didn't understand what he meant. I think that's a sign of progress in its own way, that there are more and more people who honestly don't get that a character like Wonder Woman could be perceived as threatening and unmasculine.

The Adam Hughes comment is ARGH, but I also find it hilarious because of who said it -- I mean, he's a good girl artist famed for drawing statuesque women with giant racks! Androgyny, what?

Sorry, I should have clarified. I don't mean "threatening" in terms of physical intimidation (though Wondy certainly is that! XD) so much as "threatening the social order." When people lash out at harmless but nominally unconventional (if that's the right term) behavior, it's because they're uncomfortable or even subconsciously afraid.

That said, it's said that "unmasculine" (i.e. "feminine") inherently means "weak," isn't it? Though that's another issue entirely.
