And finally, my bonus. Google being my friend, it gave me these two gems. I have absolutely no idea if there was really a Lil'Bruce Wayne comic or if it's fan-made, but the covers are so ridiculously made of win that I don't know if I should cry or laugh.

Say, how about a clone franchise for the Joker? Every time he gets offed, a new one (with memories kept up to date, of course) gets activated and picks up where the last left off.

(Then again, Roger Zelazney already came up with something similar in Today We Choose Faces, but it would be kinda cool to apply to our death-defying Mr. J)

I submit that the reason the Joker is still around is a return ticket is what he actually got from Neron back when Neron was handing out deals. Nobody with evil as a cause would want the Joker anywhere but spreading havoc in the world.

A demonic life insurance policy with a full get out of hell free card and the devil looks after its own package. It explains why none of the normal cops or crooks ever manage to pot the stupid bastard. And quickie trips to hell would definitely explain new and different personalities.

I can never get enough of Chuck Dixon Joker. Robin 85 was a great issue.

Chuck Dixon always seemed to "get" the Joker. He occasionally overdid the in-jokes, but his Joker had nasty class.

Fun issue, though Dick and Jason wearing black capes irks me somewhat, and the Joker knows damn well that Robin #1 became Nightwing, though I love his variations! :)

Damn, you'd think the colorist could at least get the costume right in the frickin' Robin monthly. Seriously, that's one of my pet peeves--the costume (especially the shortpants one) is iconic, how do you mess that up?

Other than that, I love these stories. And man, do I prefer that Joker to Morrison's one.

I need to go read this issue again. It's one of my faves dealing with Joker. I especially loved the beginning of the issue where Joker was telling the doctors yet another story about his "horrible childhood". If I remember correctly, this one was about how his father got mad at him for something and ended up shooting his pet pony. Heh.

As for the scans here, I love:

1. Joker's pajamas.

2. All the drawings and writing he has all over the cell walls.

3. The re-do of the, "I KILLED you!" scene. and

4. How his reaction to Jason is basically, "Hey, I kinda like this kid. Of course this means I have to kill him".
