Now that Cable and Hope have made it to Utopia, some of the X-Men have been rather skeptical of Hope, the supposed messiah who doesn't appear to have any powers or plan.  While visiting the cafeteria (is this middle school?), Dani approaches Hope and Cable.




Wow, this is middle school.

Hope hits Dani with a tray of food, more blows are exchanged, and Principal Summers arrives to break things up.  Cable stops him.



Cable has one time-port left, and if it comes to it he'll just take her so far into the future that nobody will ever find them (I'm pretty sure Cable being able to do that with someone will be important later).  The catfight is broken up when Donald Pierce blows up all the X-Men's jets, stranding them on Utopia; everybody races up top.  X-23 slashes Pierce, Namor rips his mechanical arm off, and then Cyclops blows him to pieces (bye, Donald!).  Cyclops orders everyone to prepare for an imminent invasion.



I really love this art.

What the heck is wrong with ALL OF THE X-MEN??

Hope is a teenager. Back the fuck off, and if you have a problem with Cable take it up with Cable when he is alone.

Dani's traumatized by recent events. She'll probably apologize when she cools down.

I just don't know that "trauma from recent events" counts as an excuse for these characters any more.

Yeah.. that's pretty much what I mean. If they don't bother dealing with the issues that their mad lives have brought them, it's kind of on them.

I think that what Dani is doing is victim blaming! And I think that this writing is shite. Everybody seems completely incompetent.

(Yeah, it is, but I can't separate the writing from the character, and I can't think that continuing to get back into X-Manship is a great idea if this is how it's going to make you treat time-refugee teenagers, and I can't forget that her whole team are being a bunch of bastards to all the OTHER X-Teens, either.)
