Man, I was loving the art until last panel. That's not a toddler, that's a fucking doll. Clearly the wife went insane and replaced the kid.

Loved the writing, but the cat-woman in a string bikini proclaiming herself an "actual police officer" kinda hurt the ol' suspension of disbelief.

As much as Hood was a villain I liked, he truly got what he deserved. Death was too easy for someone like him. Glad that someone remembers that the guy has a child. He has to live with the fact that he's scum as well as the fact that whenever his daughter asks about him, her mother would be that embarassed that she'll have to make up a lie or tell her he's dead. There are some things worst than death my friend.

As much as I am glad Tigra got to have her final say, I am worried about her baby, William. The Hood will come after her baby because now he'll be unable to bond with his kid, and her goading that she'll have a lifetime to hold her kid only adds to the bitter desire for Hood to pay her back.

I am not entirely enamoured with this. It's not as bad as Green Arrow executing his grand-daughter's murderer but a superhero trying, convicting and punishing a villain in the shadows for personal revenge still isn't very edifying.

The "I'm a cop" line doesn't help since it's pretty obvious that if this went to trial he'd get convicted and then he'd be a miserable junkie in withdrawal and in jail. She's not the only person he's hurt, other people would probably like to see him brought to justice. It makes it seem like Greer has no real convictions or beliefs in the job she's chosen.

Did anyone think it was a good idea to leave someone with a magical hooded cloak, who calls himself "The Hood", WITH the aforementioned magical hooded cape still in place? I mean, removing it would seem to just be a sensible precautionary measure?

Well the hood itself stopped being magic awhile back when Dormammu got booted out. Then his powers came from the Norn Stones and he kept the hood as a costume. Now it seems to be useless red cloth since Loki took his rocks back.

Wait a minute, Hood has a kid? Hood actually has a fucking Kid.

You could have had a three eyes green zebra who was actually Hood's long lost brother, then have the pair break into a musical number sung entirely in Yiddish, and it would have been more realistic than the idea that Hood, at some point, had CONSENSUAL SEX WITH A HUMAN FEMALE, and that said female would actually want to see him in jail to do anything other than spit in his face and give him a swift kick in the joy department, never mind bringing the kid along.

Uh, it's an established part of his backstory since the character was first created. He was a jerk but a human/redeemable sort of jerk when the kid was born, then he went waaaaay off the rails.

It would be an obvious cheesecake ploy no matter what, but I would find the various justifications for Tigra's outfit a lot more plausible if there was the slightest nod towards practicality. E.g. a sports-bra style top that gave her support and a bottom with plenty of coverage. String bikinis are for sunbathing and posing, not strenuous physical activity -- a superhero needs to wear an outfit that's not going to fall off.

Hahaha particularly, particularly how it is drawn in these pages. If the panels didn't end where they do I am pretty sure I would be saying "Greer I can SEE YOUR SNATCH". And the backstrap on her top-triangles is WAY too high, like, just ridiculous-wrong.

The original beating was made of so much fail, I really don't care what happens here. Some writer who's run out of ideas will probably break him out of jail a few years hence and he'll go all stalky-stalky, only the prey will become the predator, grrrr!

You know, I just thought of something:

What if we had a series (or mini-series, whatever) for Tigra...as a cop? It'd be like a Savage Dragon kind of thing, where she's on the force, officially, but still as Tigra. Hell, I bet a few other heroes could be a part of it, too.

And then we have it written by Greg Rucka, Ed Brubaker and drawn by Michael Lark. OH yeah.
