Love this cover! I can only reiterate what I've said about her character a thousand times: that to grieve and mourn and feel loss isn't in stark contradiction with an ability to commit sociopathic and horrific acts against those they see as dehumanized.

It's too bad this is part of a book that I don't really want to support. Even Osiris -- the kid who was nearly suicidal after taking the life of a villain in 52, and his heel turn is just... eugh here.

ALSO LOL YOU GUYS I GUESS ARSENAL REALLY IS GOING TO BE SUPER 90S EXTREME

I am so essite.jpg for trainwreck. Is that a sword sticking out of a stump for an arm? I THINK IT MIGHT BE.........

BRIGHTEST DAY continues as what readers have been asking for finally arrives: a male Star Sapphire in the form of the Predator. But how is this entity unlike the others? And what does it want with Carol Ferris? Meanwhile, the White Lantern is defended by an unlikely hero…

Wow, they manage to do a male Star Sapphire in a way that makes me *less* interested!

Just put Hal in a stripperkini and be done with it.

i am amused that pretty much all the representative lanterns' struggling with their chains form some kind of vaguely sexual position, except for atrocitus's

i guess predator just doesn't want some hot hot sector 666 loving

This... is not what I wanted out of a male Star Sapphire. At all.

I wanted Tamaki from Ouran Host Club in a bikini.

As much as I imagined that the male Star Sapphire wouldn't have a costume like Carol or Diana (or Miri), this is not what I had in mind.
Anyway, I'll read it.

"Hey guys, men CAN be in the Star Sapphire Corps it seems -- they just have to have the evil entity embodying them and be totally rapisty as a manifestation of their love!"

Awwww... who says male-targeted sexism is dead?

*facepalm*

Oooh! Oooh! It's Doctor Light, isn't it?

On an unrelated note, I see they're still using those photoreferences that nobody likes for the Generation Lost covers.

It amazes me how committed Brightest Day is deep, fundamental Fail at all levels and in all areas. They're probably kicking themselves that Civil War beat them to the giant black dude being killed by a malfunctioning Aryanbot and then being buried in chains.

Every single one of those solicitations got a "meh" from me.

Brightest Day bores me already. Especially when the title clashes with last week's genocide and this weeks's matchbox murder where one of the main villains surely getting away with it because "he's very cool and important(!!!)" On the other hand I'm expected to deal with Mr. White-Bread Flash's two-faced judgment when Ollie kills Prometheus. I always argued the heroes shouldn't kill unless the situation is dire but DC killed the fight in me. Why would I care if you bringing back Aquaman and Martian Manhunter when almost every new character is in ruins.(and I was so excited for Arthur coming back) Silver Age isn't everything.

Their let's go back to 1980 when we were wearing short pants attitude is sickening. I can't find anything to defend them anymore. White washing indeed.

I always thought a male Star Sapphire would be dressed like Zardoz from PowerGirl.

Fabrizio Fiorentino has got to be my favorite artist. At least one of them. I don't even care what he's illustrating I'm going to buy it.

And Personally I really think the Generation Lost cover is pretty cool, the art is meh but I just like when they have wanted posters and information and stuff like that I guess...

...I think Cheshire crying is a little... dramatic. And not dramatic in a good way.

Also - re star sapphire -

Kinky.
