Well there goes Thara ak-Var as for Chris my guess is he will be headed to Metropolis since Superman is there and Zod and his squad are headed there as well. Also keep in mind that Clark and Chris have not seen each other since this whole thing started something that the comic acknowledges when Chris tells Kon to tell Superman that he's sorry they didn't see each other again (when he goes after Thara).

There's also another character death but I didn't post it, it's a bit emotional if you read WONK and Kal gets visibly upset when he sees her.

Both are the same thing in their culture.

Here, the body of a false Rao is being used to change the Sun's color to red.

Luthor made the sun red to suffocate all the Kryptonians that were flying (floating?) in space by using the corpse of a clone of the sun god Rao.

Flamebird just went into the sun and burned Thara's body away.

You know I question. How clark and kara was able to survive in space without powers suffocating along the other Kryptonians. Yet when the sun went back to yellow-they got their powers back and was the only survivors while everbody else around them died?

Clark and Kara have been exposed to way more yellow sun, Clark for his whole life while Kara had an arificial yellow sun in her ship. Perhaps they had enough power in their 'batteries' to survive, while the new Kryptonians didn't?

Some Kryptonians did survive the whole suffocation thing since part of them went to earth and started attacking and killing people.

I really wanna see Chris and Kon as awkward step-brothers. Chris aged ten was good, but you do worry about kids in DC at the moment, so maybe Chris aged 14?

Yeah the only line of dialogue they had was in this comic and it was Chris telling Kon he had to go and Kon being all "WTF Nightwing we need you!"

I so want them to interact in a Kent family picnic or something, as a matter in fact I want a Kent family picnic with Ma, Clark, Kara, Karen, Kon, Krypto and Chris. Mon-El can come too! (he'll watch from the Phantom Zone or come back from the future).

Not sure I see where you're getting that from. It's the closer to middle aged ones like Ray, Barry and Hal who have been brought back to the fore, sidelining the younger ones like Ryan, Wally and Kyle.

Of course no matter what I say it's still not completely true. I actually did like the duo, I thought they were cute in their own angsty teen way. But at least with Nightwing and Flamebird their whole cycle of stuff makes a return possible.

They have to be cleared away to prepare for the thunderous return of the Silver Age Nightwing and Flamebird.

I wish I could care about this anymore but its obvious now that all of the Kryptonians are meant to die (like Thara, Allura and Kal-El's Kryptonian military unit in the now pointless WONK series who all suffocated in space in this issue) or go back to the Phantom Zone (Chris, Zod). The old Superman status quo is coming back with JMS (heck, Lex Luthor - who created the Genocide bomb that blew up New Krypton is becoming the star of a year long run on Action Comics). Supergirl is going to JLA like Earth just didn't destroy literally all that remained of all her people just yesterday and Sam Lane (who will probably be the only "Earth" character punished) will have won after all since he got what he wanted - the destruction of the Kryptonians and their elimination from the solar system.

This is what the 2-3 years of New Krypton stuff had led to?

You know I kind of wanted them to put Kandor back in a bottle or better yet have them sent to the future with the Legion! That way you can return to the status quo and still have New Krypton! Why did they have to die?

But yeah it's going to be hard liking Luthor after all this crap, especially knowing what he did and everyone in the DCU still lets him roam free? How can Clark and Kara cope with this? How come they aren't breaking down or having a hard case of PTSD?

When Kandor did get grown eventually, and doing so caused the city to disintegrate, they pretty much left the picture and this dimension, as I recall. Voluntarily.
