No, wait, that didn't come out right.

Okay, now many of us are... less than happy with what happened to Ryan Choi, the Atom, last week, as yet another sacrifice to the DC Death God.

There's an interesting editorial piece about it over ant Newsarama here

One of the posts in the talkback linked to thread at cbr that Gail Simone's started here, where a chap by the name of Ian Boothby (Eisner winning writer who has worked on The Simpsons and Futurama comics) has declared himself "Pro-Choi's" and is determined to prove that Ryan is actually still alive, by posting appropriate scans from comics featuring cameos by Ryan that you (and DC editorial) may have missed.

Here are a couple he found....





There are more fine examples on the thread, but surely we can do better!

So here's your challenge scans_daily.... Find more appearances from Ryan Choi in recent DC comics, to support Ian's quite logical and sensible claims! I know I'll be looking around!

As Mr Boothby put it. "Ryan's around as long as readers have a black felt pen. It also works well for those missing Scott Lang."

And as Gail puts it "Anyone else who wants to Zelig Ryan Choi will have my undying gratitude. - BLACK MARKER LANTERN RYAN CHOI!"

So fly, FLY, my pretties, and show DC how wrong they have been in stating that Ryan is dead.

Ray Palmer, the second best Atom EVAR! (The first was Adam Cray who had an AWESOME 90's costume). Actually, the best one was the Atom girl from that one world that got killed. She was a cutie.

There's an entire Corps of Green Lanterns (at least 5 from Earth, although Alan Scott isn't officially in the Corps), 3 Flashes, 2 Supermans (or at least for a time there were) . . . why can't there be 2 Atoms? Why you kill the funny Asian dude?

Courage mon brave, it took something like 24 years to get Doug Ramsey back, I'm sure that Ryan's taken over Doug's suite in the Hotel Comics Limbo, as "fun regular guy in crazy situations who acts heroically because he knows it's the right thing to do".
