Beyond the veil
May. 24th, 2010 01:11 amFour pages from Ex Machina #49, the conclusion of the "Pro-Life" story arc. It's the penultimate issue of the series and as you might expect, some answers are revealed.

He dons the Great Machine gear and confronts Suzanne, who's already opened the portal to the alternate dimension the people who gave Hundred his powers came from.
She activates one of the nullifiers Hundred built that would take away his powers, which she'd stolen off of Kremlin. However, it doesn't seem to work, and Hundred commands a truck to ram her.

Does anyone else feel vaguely disappointed? All that build up about the mystery behind his power, all the cryptic hints and clues, and this is the culmination? Some generic demons-want-to-invade-our-dimension plot?
