The context to this is that Linda's investigating a strange snake cult that seems to be taking over the other cults in the city. She gets attacked on her way to her car, and calls Piper for back-up. Basically saying 'grab your best hardware and meet me at home'. Argus saves Linda in the garage and brings her home.

And then we get:

I seem to recall that a lot of people thought the gun in portal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal_%28video_game%29) was kind of a vaginal symbol, in effect if not in shape.

He DOES. <3 He's got so much awesome going on in the series. He became an awesome champion of homeless needs, super tech support for Wally, as well as informant, is basically Wally and Linda's BFF, and then he'll pop up in bad ass moments like the one I posted above.

Pied Piper is made of awesome covered with a dollop of winsauce. He champions the homeless! He stops speeding locomotives with music! He hypnotises people and rats! He blows up Apokolips! - With Queen!

.... All of which is why I became very nervous when I saw Geoff Johns' tweet about bringing back the Pied Piper. Under Johns' tender loving care, Piper's parents were murdered, he's been framed for three murders he didn't commit (his parents, Bart Allen, Inertia), and he wussied out under Johns's canon Gary Stu, Captain Cold. Given what Johns has been doing with the Rogues lately, as much as I adore Piper, I'd almost rather see him safe in Comic Book Limbo.
