This post is dedicated to Big Brother.

He was talking about Antichrist and said that while it was a decent film, you did get to see a lot of Willem Dafoe's dick. This is slightly off putting when all that's going through your head is that it's Norman Osborn, apparently.

So, I told him about Sins Past and about a chance to see Norman Osborn's O-face when he's impregnating Spider-man's girlfriend, but that the real fun with Naked Norman Osborn was from Thunderbolts.

Yes, this is as Bill as the Hills, but it's The Best Norman Osborn scene ever (even better than Dark Avengers #3 and is pretty much the reason why we got Dark Reign.

Context: Norman Osborn has been placed in charge of the Thunderbolts, a team of reformed supervillains who work out of Colorado, apprehending rogue "superheroes" who refuse to obey the law.
Thunderbolt Mountain is under attack by psychics, making the team to go mad. The Swordsman has literally cut guards in half, including Venom, who is eating everybody that he can get his hands on. Into the breach, steps a hero...

Tip - Watch the composition of the panels on the pages in this scene.

NORMAN OSBORN FACT #1 - Norman Osborn is fucking mental.

NORMAN OSBORN FACT #2 - Norman Osborn is right.

NORMAN OSBORN FACT #3 - Norman Osborn is now in prison with his mask.

And now the pay off. Click to enlarge

Watch how the panels go from being arranged erratically to having a clean, rigid order once Norman puts the Goblin outfit on. Plus, we get the idea that this is the suit that Norman wore when he killed Gwen Stacy, Spider-man's girlfriend and the mother of (2 of) his children.

If you like it, buy your own copy of Caged Angels at amazon. Yours probably won't be signed by Warren Ellis like mine, but never mind.

Honestly, if I weren't hell-bent of McGinley, I'd honestly love to see Macy in the role. I remember when someone once suggested Macy playing Rorschach. Would have loved to have seen that, holy hell.

Where did you hear that? AFAIK Gil is based on Walther Matthau in "Glengarry Glen Ross"

I believe the classic response here is "D'OH!"

(That'll teach me to automatically flash to "The Odd Couple" when I think of either of them
