She wants it Back
Jun. 4th, 2010 12:38 pm When they gave Pepper the suit I was very Happy :) when it turns out they needed the repulsor tech in her armor and basically the rest of it, to save Tony, i was like WTF?!? they build her up all cool like and decide to take it away from here, now after this I am optimistic, what do you guys think? this is the Pepper I love, the one that does not take crap from Tony Stark.

Date: 2010-06-04 10:19 pm (UTC)This appears to be Tony as self-delusional and somewhat petulant child. I mean, if this is supposed to be showing him recovering, it's doing a terrible job. He was much more confident on the way DOWN than on the way UP. This just feels..I don't know. It feels off...like Tony's a stroke victim who hasn't fully recovered.
Also: Can we get some parity between this title and...I don't know, the REST OF THE MU? Tony has his liquid armor here, but he's using the manual old armor in Avengers: Prime and it varies in other titles. This happened during Siege, too. Work out out, Editorial!
Fraction is pretty much writing his own universe

Date: 2010-06-04 10:27 pm (UTC)A comic book character looking kind of like an actor isn't always a bad thing. And sometimes it's hard to tell if it was intentional or not.
David Mazzuchelli was able to make Bruce Wayne look remarkably like Gregory Peck in BATMAN: YEAR ONE. And only with a few little lines here and there. So you could say, "Yeah, he looks like Gregory Peck, but is it on purpose or am I just projecting?"

Date: 2010-06-05 05:14 am (UTC)I can sympathize with Dr. Out of Focus there, if I were him I'd want to be someone and somewhere else, too.
Writing's crap too, of course.

Date: 2010-06-08 12:13 am (UTC)What? Where did this come from? Pepper spent years of her life building towards being the ultimate disaster relief in an armored suit? I haven't been following the relevant comics, but I didn't think Pepper was the kind of character to bundle her identity up with a superpowered alter ego like this.
