Only one chapter today, and not the one I'd intended to post, because I've had problems cutting that one down. I'll be posting it Monday.
So, instead, we look at what happens when a cosmetics salesman tries to sell in the girls' neighbourhood....
His day is off to a bad start...he's chosen Miu's house as his first attempted sale. Her parents are already gone, so he ends up dealing with Miu herself. The poor sod.
She hides his sample case, and accuses him of being a thief. And that...is just for starters.
Not the high point of his career - but at least he got his sample case back.
His day is just starting, though...next he comes to Chika and Nobue's house. Their parents are gone, too.
Oh shi....!
Well, luckily for him, Nobue knows Miu well enough to realize she's, you know, insane. But she still rather forcefully informs Mr Salesdude that they don't want any make-up, then the three of them head for Ana's house, while he ends up going to Matsuri's house. Guess who's not home.
That doesn't deter our intrepid salesman, though.
I'm beginning to lose sympathy for him - trying to trick Matsuri into buying it with her mum's stamp is kinda scummy.
He leaves, thwarted yet again, and heads...to Ana's house. Where he has yet another run-in with Nobue, Chika and Miu. Ana (whose parents a...well, you get the point) doesn't even get the chance to say no, since Nobue...can be really quite intimidating. Sadly, no room for that run-in. He goes off somewhere else, while the girls head over to Matsuri's place.
(Those who live in glass houses shouldn't jump to conclusions, Nobue. ... I think I may have mangled that metaphor.)
He immediately goes back to his office to quit. Sales are clearly not for him.
