My apologies for the fact that this conclusion got delayed by more than a month, but my holiday rush didn't end until right around Monday, but now I can take some time, during my current two-week vacation from work, to post the last of my scans from this story, which originally appeared in Eastman & Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
(vol. 1) #8.As seen in our previous installment
, the Turtles met up with Cerebus when Renet, an Apprentice Timestress who had stolen the Sceptre of the Sacred Sands of Time from Lord Simultaneous, used the Sceptre to send herself and the Turtles into the distant past, to save them all from Simultaneous' clutches.
After they satisfied genre conventions with an obligatory first-meeting fight, the Turtles and Cerebus were then both attacked by Savanti Romero, who stole the already-stolen Sceptre from Renet, leaving her and the Turtles stranded in the past until they could recover the Sceptre from Romero's fortress.
Fortunately for the Turtles and Renet, Cerebus was already scheming to break into Romero's fortress, for thus far only vaguely defined reasons of his own, so he's hired an army of mercenaries to storm the fortress, so that he can sneak into the fortress from the other side, with the Turtles and Renet in tow. But what exactly does Cerebus have to gain here?( "Maybe Cerebus doesn't HAVE to steal the stupid scrolls ... Cerebus is MILES from that DAMN WIZARD ..." )Tags:char: cerebus
