Planet Hulk - Cameos from the movie!

Hay guyz. Just saw the Planet Hulk movie and I quite enjoyed it. "Smashing good time!" Hey ohhh. Anyway, so I took a few screen shots of some interesting cameos.
I did not read the actual story but they did shift a few key things ;)

Alan Moore writes Shadowhawk's origin

These pages are from the origin of the Image character Shadowhawk. I'm curious if anyone can guess who the author is just from the writing, mainly because I want to know if the answer's as obvious as I suspect it is. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a story where a writer's tics and style stick out more.

Obviously, please don't answer if you already know.

It is indeed Alan Moore. I can see why someone would think Morrison, but between the bizarre idolization of Crowley, the vague air of pedantry, the awkward insertion of obscure references or factoids to segue the conversation ("Do you know the local fellahin believe them to be demons?"), and even stuff like the final line, I'd say it more strongly points to Moore. Then again, reading the credits box before the story might have influenced my perception.

This was from the Shadowhawks of Legend one-shot, in which Jim Valentino got a bunch of other writers to flesh out his creation's backstory. Aside from Moore, among the other contributing writers were Kurt Busiek and Stan Sakai (whose contribution, perhaps unsurprisingly, was samurai-related).

For the record, pallas_athena was first to guess correctly, though others did as well. Good job, folks.

Meat The Deadpool Corps

No, that wasn't a misspelling, this feels like fresh meat taken out of the fridge. Great and tasty when cooked properly and quickly by talents hands, but stale and awful if left out for too long. And it's approaching the too long part. IGN has the profiles and wordless art for the Deadpools (because we are amused by Deadpool when he has nothing to say, right?).

My Mitch Ballard commission has landed!

Thanks to icon_uk's timely notice of his fanartist of choice's eBay commission auction, I now have a lovely pen-and-ink two-character piece of (Steph) Batgirl and Oracle. He was a pleasure to deal with via e-mail; we noodled around thoughts about Oracle guiding Steph through training before we hit on the idea of Steph in the field with an inset of Oracle monitoring via computer. He also sent me a scan of the pencils so I'd know it was near completion, and included a penciled board with the package.
