So long as we've been bringing the Franco-Belgian rock lately, I thought I'd contribute another of my favourites, Pierre Alary's Belladonne.

Alary himself is one of my favourites. A former animator at Disney France, he worked under the great Glen Keane on Tarzan before striking out on his own to create this wonder. Since then, he's released two more volumes of Belladone, started a series of Sinbad books, and has lately been posting lineart for his adaption of Mellville's Moby Dick. If you wanna get a look at some of his sketches and lineart, his blog's over here. It's mostly Sinbad and Moby work, but if you go back in the archives there's some great Belladone stuff too.

Possibly NSFW for brief nudity and blood )

This is a cute little scene from Robin 103 between Tim and Steph. Steph's sick, but Tim doesn't care about getting her germs.

Five pages from Robin 103.  )

As part of the Brightest Day event DC will be launching "Dark Titans" starring Cheshire aka Jade Nyguen aka Lian’s mom aka Roy Harper’s Baby Mama. Here is part one of a look back at the history of one of the deadliest, most resilient and versatile villains in the DCU.

It's a better one, at any rate, then being burned at the stake by King James.

Basically, pretty much exactly what you'd expect happened at the end of New World; this picks up a bit later, in Hulk: Broken Worlds #2.

Time's passed since then, and David Banner's relocated to China to find inner peace with some monks and all that jazz.

Then, one day, armed men show up looking for something..  )

New announcements over at the House of Ideas as the interview with Senior Vice President of Sales and Circulation David Gabriel about how Marvel's best are getting limited series to play with. IGN has the interview with David Gabriel. Possible spoilers for Second Coming (The Return, Part II).

So much can be implicated from the preview as the leaders of their respective Corps and their new lieutenants have stuff to work out before they can work together. IGN has the preview.

All that shines )

Instead of explaining why I'm posting scans of DC Showcase #59 (1965), I'll let the teaser pic speak for itself...

... yep. More music, a weird rock band, 'hip language' and some things that just don't work that way behind the cut.

I couldn't resist, and frankly, I didn't really try!

First up are a couple of additions to my Dick Grayson / Kurt Wagner series.

Cute hero acrobats! You need more of a reason? )

And this last one is a challenge for any artist, Warlock and Cypher of the New Mutants...

It's simple (Well, as simple as Warlock can ever be), it's fun and it's fantastic! )

And for legality

Tonight, the part of Doug Ramsey will be played by... any suggestions? )

The cover alone merited being placed here on S_D. PopcultureShock has the cover and solicit info for Thor and the Warriors Four #2.

Giddy up )
