Yeah, people are misreading that.

First, it had nothing to do with this story at all. But Cheshire has a reptile brain, in my opinion. Yes, she loves Lian. But her enemy has Lian. And Cheshire is always playing Chess.

If the enemy has Lian, Lian has to be removed as a bargaining chip.

I don't think we've had scans from this series in quite a while.

"Billy Batson and the Magic of SHAZAM!" follows on from the Jeff Smith Captain Marvel miniseries a couple of years back. It's part of the Johnny DC line, so any variations from the continuity you prefer should just be noted as "alternate universe."

Issue #13, "Kid Games" brings us yet another new artist (I think there have been six in thirteen issues, not a good sign.)

Pretty nice little issue. It consists of 3 10-page stories, 1 starring the Legion in the 31st century, 1 with Mon-El and Conner in the 21st century, and 1 with a look at General Lane's private war; all point the reader to Last Stand of New Krypton #1, coming to the stands soon.

I've got crops (not my own scans) of two pages of the 21st century story for y'all today; if the first page seems a little disjointed it's because it's half of a two-page spread. I sincerely hope this little scene has smutficcers out there hard at work as we speak...
