The four cities conflict continues to come together, as something new, or something very old, returns. CosmicBookNews has the preview. And I will say this ahead of the cut, this feels a LOT like classic FF, going into full "exploring brave new worlds" mode of fun.

To boldly go... )

Probably behind the curve on this one, but ah well.

Image Comics has a splendid sampling of their books up at their website. These are full scans of the first issues of quite a few of their series, including:

Age of Bronze #1 - by Eric Shanower

Dynamo 5 #1 - by Jay Faerber and Mahmud A. Asrar

Elephantmen #1 - by Richard Starkings and Moritat

Godland #1 - by Joe Casey and Tom Scioli

I Kill Giants #1 - by Joe Kelly and J.M. Ken Niimura

Invincible #1 - by Robert Kirkman and Corey Walker

Lions, Tigers, and Bears #1 - by Mike Bullock and Jack Lawrence

Noble Causes #1 - by Jay Faerber and Patrick Gleason

Proof #1 - by Alex Grecian and Riley Rossmo

Suburban Glamor #1 - by Jamie McKelvie

It's definitely a collection worth browsing, even with the amount of page-scrolling that has to be done. My favorites out of the bunch include Age of Bronze, Eric Shanower's epic endeavor to illustrate the story of the Trojan War; Elephantmen, Richard Starkings' story of genetically engineered war veterans in a sci-fi dystopia; Lions, Tigers, and Bears, in which a pride of stuffed animals comes to life to fight the things that go bump in the night; and Proof, following the adventures of Bigfoot as federal agent specializing in cryptozoological cases.

For scans, a repost of a series that I very much wish was in that sampling. )

Addendum one to my original Bruce and Lois post, this features their moments from miniseries Batman/Superman: World's Finest issues #6 and 8. I've also padded out this post with a few Clark/Lois scenes and Lois/Catwoman ones, for those interested.

And without further ado... )

This post will be followed by a second addendum featuring their scenes from JLA: Secret Society of Super Heroes. Anyone interested in the two as a couple should check out that post.

BleedingCool has just put up the JSA/JLA crossover cover, uncolored and still in the works. It is a huge wrap around and I have to say, I'm excited for this. I'M SORRY GUYS ... I KNOW I SHOULDN'T BE BUT I AM. You can't stop me.

I'm actually looking forward to the JLA this year. I'm a traitor to humanity.

DO NOT CLICK behind the cut if you do not want post-blackest night spoilers. I am serious, guys.

For my final this installment, I'm coincidentally presenting the Amalgam one-shot I just recently purchased.

Mix the tragic background of Bruce Wayne with the experiences of Nick Fury and you get...

Greetings True Believers! I thought I'd share a great Cap moment from the excellent Marvel mini-series The Marvels Project. It's a WWII-era recalling of the beginning of the Marvel Age.

It's a scene of Cap doing what he does best. Nazi-smashing. The mini's narrator, The Angel, is very impressed. He also realizes the world has changed.
