Super-Hamm (or Super-Mad-Man)

Twice (if not more) on interviews he gave on Friday, Mad Men's Jon Hamm talked about how the Internet rumor mill wants him to play Superman. Hamm said he's "aged out" of playing Superman, unless they want to show how Clark Kent gets great parking. (In a slightly related story, Christina Hendricks of Mad Men will voice Lois Lane in the animated adaptation of ALL-STAR SUPERMAN.)
But even if he doesn't play Kal-El, to me, Jon Hamm might have a place in the next Superman movie.

From GD 120, Julia Diggers faces off against a villain weaponsmaster who's enchanted so she cannot hurt. Or rather, can, but every wound on him he'll transfer off to an innocent thrall, so hacking is almost worse than not fighting at all.

What follows is one of the coolest fights I've seen :)

Dragon Age: Nara the Grey Warden

I fell hard for Bioware's Dragon Age RPG when it was released, but, between the lackluster follow-up content and getting Orson Scott Card to pen the official comic tie-in, it seemed they were doing their best to make me regret that decision.

Happily, the fan community seems determined to provide a ton of game mods, fan art, and fan-comics that deliver where the official products fall flat. I figured I'd share a few pages from one of the comics that I'm really enjoying. Like a lot of the fanworks, this one follows the adventures of the writer's Grey Warden character, but unlike a lot of them, the Warden isn't taking center stage at the expense of the other characters.

So, on the road to Denerim, our intrepid band stops to take refreshment at an inn...

SHORTPACKED: "Return of Bruce Wayne" meets "Detective Comics #29"

David Willis' webcomic Shortpacked often has Batman jokes, where the first (or last) thing Batman says is "I'm Batman." In Monday's comic, the time-lost Batman arrives in 1939, at the end of DETECTIVE COMICS #29.
