Bad X-Comics, Part the Second.
Jan. 31st, 2011 03:48 pmSo last time I posted a morsel by Liefeld and Liefeld... sorry, Liefeld and Nicieza. It was obviously, eye-searingly bad. This time, the badness is much more insidious.
( So insidious that when I first read these issues, I didn't even realize it. )

Batman #1,000,000
Jan. 31st, 2011 08:46 pmAt
psychopathicus_rex's request, here's some DC ONE MILLION.

The plot of DC ONE MILLION was that the modern JLA is brought to the 853rd century to celebrate the original Superman's return from his centuries-long stay inside the sun (while the JLA of the future subs in for them in the present).
However, Batman, ever the buzzkill, felt he had better things to do than attend a celebration, so 853rd century Batman knocks him unconscious and forces him to go. Bruce Wayne loses consciousness in the present but awakens in the far, far future.

For Each A Road

My alternate Fantastic Four continues, with House of M, courtesy of John Layman. Yes, THAT John Layman. This version of the Fantastic Four are less Fantastic and more fearsome. Reed Richards is dead and the human Victor Von Doom leads a superpowered team that are part heroes and part heavies for the House of M. Since he's still a flatscan, Doom is ranked below Magneto and the rest of mutantkind.
The rest of the team are the Invincible Woman (Doom's wife Valeria), the Inhuman Torch (Doom's ward, Kristoff) and the It (a mentally damaged Ben Grimm who survived the accident that killed Reed Richards but turned Grimm into a giant, rocky red brute).
Here, the team has just come back from a mission in Subterranea, subduing the Mole Man.
( Is there a Doctor in the House? )
I'd post more, but the window's now closed and I'd like to get some sleep.
