The fourth and final issue of Alan Moore's NEONOMICON's finally out. And hey, this one's actually safe for work.

Four pages from issue 4 and one from issue 1... )

Last issue, Cap was zapped back to his original era, something he'd been hoping for the whole series, materializing on V-J Day. Now that he's home, what's next for the Sentinel of Liberty? (For those coming in late, MAN OUT OF TIME is a flashback mini-series exploring a young Captain America's adjustment to reviving in the modern world.)

Four pages from the final issue of Captain America: Man Out of Time )

All in one post, because DW's character-per-post limit is huge. Formatting errors, if any, are mine; content errors, if any, belong to [personal profile] salad_barbarian, and if so, we're both sorry.

Whole lotta radio-button options under the cut. )

In this installment of Bloodlines we get to probably my second favorite of the male Bloodliners (after Joe Public if anyone really wanted to know, or it might be a tie between 'em I tend to go back and forth).

This issue is nice in that it portrays a pretty realistic look on a guy who gets powers after his life has turned to hell, at least to me.

18 pages from a 54 page story.

Beware HIS fears turned into life! )

So I really liked the Hellboy movies, the second one moreso than the first one. I think a lot if it has to do with Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth being one of my favorite movies of all time) but I am interested in the characters of Hellboy and friends. At the same time there seem to be numerous titles, miniseries, spin-offs, even novels, so it's a bit daunting. Where should I start and in what order? What stories are essential and which ones are not? I'll probably be reading them in trade from the library as opposed to scrounging for back issues.

For legality, a two-page story by Mignola that was apparently in the trade for Right Hand of Doom (found it on the internet).

Ages ago, I posted something from Ultimate Fantastic Four Annual #2 about Nursery 2 and the kids that lived there. Since then, I've finished reading the whole thing and was moderately disappointed by the ending.

The only one that had any sort of reference before or after that story, and received some form of personality was Strange Josie )
As readers of Ultimate Doom #4 will know... that's not how it ended.

Admittedly I haven't been buying many comics outside of independents so it was a rarity that I bought a few comics this previous week.

I bought the recent GL issue to show some support for Lyssa (that I posted on) and here's some of a certain blue fellow in Justice League.

Crowd: Starman?

No a different blue fellow, thought Starman's there too.

All will be we- I mean We Will Prevail! )
