Galacta is at her wits' end trying to figure out how to get rid of the cosmic parasite in her. after visiting the Fantastic Four, she gets the idea to use the Ultimate Nullifier but before she gets to trigger it, daddy dearest shows up.

I must admit I love the one shot and its zaniness but the last page was a big shocker. And since the whole story is about her trying to get rid of the baby (or what she thought was a cosmic tapeworm) out of her it's essentially a story all about Gala trying to give herself an abortion. Not sure how to feel about that myself.

Ah well, now to see if she'll keep it. I'm interested in seeing Grandpa Galactus change cosmic diapers.

Galactus doesn't have a specific corporeal form. The big purple helmet is how humanity perceives him. Other races see him and might interact with him differently, including size differential.

Also, I just noticed: In the second to last panel, when they make the big reveal, The tapeworm baby has a binky.

It's very clever because you realise at that point (from reading these pages) that your view of the parasite has all along been based on her idea of what it looks like, and now her perspective is completely changed.

It'll make up for picking up "Xenogenesis."
