For Death Week, here's the death of Glorianna O'Breen, one of Matt Murdock's (many) dead girlfriends. To add insult to injury, this isn't a very well-known DAREDEVIL story, since it was during the "Jack Batlin" era fans prefer to ignore *and* was written by Alan Smithee. At least that is the name give to the writer. A few DD fan-pages explain the story.
A crazed guy named Kruel has attacked Ben and Doris Urich. As the "new" Daredevil goes looking for answers, someone is at Matt Murdock's old apartment.

DAREDEVIL #325 had Matt Murdock seemingly dead and a "new" Daredevil in black and red armor. It was still Matt Murdock, but he had taken the new identity of social engineer/con artist Jack Batlin.

Kruel is trying to get his memories back, so he's attacking people who were at a Pennsylvania diner when the Kingpin attacked him years ago. As a wild coincidence, the people at the diner were Matt Murdock's friends and allies. And instead of killing the witnesses, the Kingpin just had their memories wiped somehow.

Time to add a little false hope to this tragedy.

"Jack Batlin" learns about Glorianna's death via a broken TV.

This is really more of a logical, though incorrect, conclusion than Matt's ego.
