The first seven panels are a flashback to Dick's first patrol as Robin, riding around in the Batmobile with Bruce.




The last is from "now." It's the first time I can recall Dick doing a, "My Parents Are Dead."

~they lie on the bed in his room in Titans Tower. The lights are dimmed as they contue their acts.~

"Richard...I..I believe I am ready"

"I am too Star."

~he completes the statement with a kiss and slowly moves to remove the final pieces of clothing~

~his emergency communicator goes off~

"Damn it..."

~he flips it open~

"DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK....MY PAAAARENTSH ARE DEAD AND GOOOOOOOOOOOOONE AND ~sound of breaking glass and drinking near the phone~ YOU ARE GOOOOOOOOOONE TOOOOOO. I MIIISSSHH MY PAAARENTSH AND BLARGLE~sounds of vomiting~"

~Dick throws it out the window~

"Every fucking Friday...."

"That fire escape is where I used to peer in Batgirl's bedroom window from across the street."

"Whoa, wait, what?"

"That rooftop is where Catwoman tied me up and took advantage of me."

Sadly this reads a little too close to Starfires conversation about sex in either Outsiders or Titans, where she basically says that she and Dick had had hot steamy sex on just about every single horizontal surface in Titans Tower (hopefully excluding other members bedrooms, especially if they were still occupying it.. though that might explain some of Gar's issues about intimacy.). Aside from the fact that Dick and Kory never seemed the sort to NEED extra kinkiness, after all, she can fly and he's the worlds greatest acrobat and bendiest gymnast, it smacked of whoever was writing it trying too hard.

The idea was one of mine, it just struck me as a very Riddler sort of setup, kind of 1960's TV show, 1970's comic era and I'd wanted to see what it looked like in picture form, and Mitch didn't disappoint! :)

This is kinda funny. I wasn't online yesterday and when I checked my emails first thing this morning, I read this DW notify and was all "Oh, my commission is up!! :D"
You must have some kind of Grayson-Sense installed that tingles when new artwork is up somewhere.

(Gosh, that image is hot... I wonder how I'm supposed to concentrate on translating my texts today.)

Oh I regularly check for new art on CAF, and the searches I use tend to be the likes of "Robin" and "Nightwing" (I'm slightly obsessive, sue me! :) ), plus Mitch's gallery is always fun to browse through so I have it bookemarked (plus I was looking at my inked "Hangman" piece. It is a terrific piece you have there, jealous of my tattered tunic commission were we? (By... ummm... whatsisname, that fella, thingie... intials are GP IIRC) :D

As for concentrating, you're on your own with that one, I'm busy ogling!

Something would be wrong with me if I weren't. ;)
The thought process went somehow like this: tattered tunic commission -> a certain NTT issue (that always seems to lurk around in the memory, waiting for exterior reasons to pop up) -> the need to have a Dick and Confessor artwork.
How it turned out was completely up to Mitch, though; I simply referred to that scene and asked for a Dick and Confessor piece. Needles to say, I'm very happy with the outcome. :)
For how many commissions of Mitch are you still waiting?
