Date: 2010-07-09 05:29 pm (UTC)Look, after the Ruffles post last week, I was already primed to be crushed just from the frickin' preview image. I clicked anyway. I knew SOMEthing was coming, I didn't know what. But I knew. And I read the whole thing with dread.
So the twist actually made me laugh. A bitter laugh, ala some of the most gloriously cruel TWILIGHT ZONE episodes, but a laugh nonetheless.

I'm not really feeling it. My sympathy is with the child instead.
