I mean the whole zombie schtick with Marvel frequently milking it by having the zombies appearing in other titles, numerous one-shots and variant covers. Overkill. It lost its spark. I tried reading one of the new Van Lente titles and I was bored. I didn't find it funny, scary, gross, nothing.

It's like, "Yeah, okay. Zombies. Wow."

And this is coming from a big fan of The Walking Dead.

If you cannot enjoy Aaron Stack dicing up zombies as one-half of a tragicomic robot love story, then there's more wrong with you than the comic book.

I appreciate the personal attack, but after watching George Romero's "Dead" films and reading The Walking Dead I've tend to have higher standards when it comes to zombie fiction. When it comes to "zombie humor" I much prefer "Shaun of the Dead" to something like "Zombieland".

What I enjoyed in the first two was the concept of having the protagonists be the superheroes-turned-zombies as opposed to some hero figure fighting them. The latter had been done before.

FWIW I thought MZ3 was fun enough if a bit disappointing from the first two but the fourth part was just mediocre.

See, if you're willing to cop to liking MZ2 more than MZ3, then we are clearly from alternate universes.
