Thor and Cho are in the Egyptian underworld fighting Sekhmet, Lady of Slaughter. The bouncer of the Egypt.

Cho is snarky.



Sekhmet catches up to them but the cho-meister has a plan.

Sorry to have to correct you, Fred, but the Cat Goddess = Bast. She had an entire city named after her (Bubastis), national festival/holiday, and a specific law prohibiting people from killing her animals.

The terrifying thing? Something about Thor here is reminding me of my mother. She got all excited when she found UrbanDictionary, has a Facebook she can't use (she calls it "facepage") and will occasionally refer to "the Google" when she gets worked up.

And somehow my mind just can't handle the juxtaposition of that, Thor's "the youtube" and--yeah. Brain error, reboot

You know Spidey-nonsense aside I just wish someone at DC would see what Marvel is doing - where heroes are acting heroic again (instead of faux-Brightest stuff) and when it comes to the Marvel Family in particular (Cap, Mary, Freddy) I wish they would take some hints from Hercules/Prince of Power, a very funny book with (right now) a teen protagonist who can meet the Gods at their own games and which is not over the top corny and dumbed down. Dan Didio in the past has said "don't fit into the DCU mentality in their current state" which is basically why we got Black Mary and FreddyShazam but I make a bet Van Lente/Pak would write a great Captain Marvel book if Marvel (the company) owned the character.

Thor's "Youtube" comment immedately made me think of earlier in the Incredible Herc saga when Herc and Cho were putting on suits as to not offend the dead in Hades.

These gods have walked in the land of mortals long enough to know pop culture. Though in Thor's case he might not get it like Herc, I can see Thor sitting at one of Tony's computers at the Avengers Mansion some afternoon when nothing big was happening.
