I think it's dumb to cut Spidey and Wolverine from the main team. The whole ethos of the Bendis revamp was to put all Marvel's Big Heroes on one team. Sectioning them off to NA just reinforces my fear that once again Bendis will favor his niche/crime book over the other and ignore the supposed "flagship" title, as he did with Mighty Avengers.

Wait... are they cut was that announced? If so I am no longer supporting the main Avengers title. The big reason I first bought it was they brought in Spidey back in New Avengers #1.

Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead. I'm not totally up on my SDCC today so I'm not sure. I've heard different things and I'm assuming the worst - that, as rumored, both Spidey and Logan will leave the main book and stay on the NA team after the first arc of Avengers. But that is not confirmed.

It's just the sort of thing I'd expect from Bendis. He's talented and I like the new books so far but he has always wanted to drag the franchise down into street level shit with the Hood, etc. for eternity, and I fear that once again NA will become his safe haven book to deal with everyone he REALLY cares about, while shortchanging the main title. I truly hope I'm totally wrong, that Spidey and Wolverine continue double duty, and that this isn't another Mighty Avengers debacle.
