One Perfect Moment: Oberon

A(n admittedly extended) moment taken from Justice League International #22 by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire. In which Oberon is left to defend the Justice League Embassy single handedly against an attack from a vicious squadron of Khund mini-fighters. Gadzooks!

Y'know, while I like Giffen's writing style overall, I wish he didn't have his characters TALK TO THEMSELVES all the damn time. I mean, I know this is true of a lot of older comics, but Oberon and the Khunds here are making old-style Dr. Strange seem positively close-mouthed - at least HE occasionally used a thought balloon.
That being said, I've always liked Oberon, and he gives a good account of himself here.
