One Perfect Moment- Joker's to-do list

After having just finished watching UNDER THE HOOD, which was simply awesome in my opinion, I realized the current theme week requires more Joker, who had some of the best lines in the movie. Especially the 'Oh Bats, you do think about me' was simply golden on so many levels. After going through so many possible scenes to do a post about here, I concluded on a scene that doesn't even directly feature the smiling man, but which I still love. Two pages from the LAST LAUGH 5, written by Chuck Dixon.

For the background Joker thinks he's about to do die and decides to go out with a bang by basically making every single supervillain in the world insane like him and having them ravage the world. As the heroes try to stop him, with varying success, Joker has some of the weather controlling villains basically create stormclouds that rain Joker Venom. While the heroes are trying to catch up to him, they come across something he left behind.






I just love the Gordon part of the list. And seriously, I can only recommend watching UNDER THE HOOD.

Joker and Multi-Man: Bff's.

Yeah, I struggling whetever or not include that in this post, but it would have taken more space.

Joker's plan to escape the Slab and free the villains from their control collars was to kill Multi-Man several times, every time in a different way, during a prison riot, as MM gets a different power every time he dies and gets resurrected. Finally he got the power to allow them to remove the collars and get to Dr. Polaris who finished the job. After that Joker left MM behind in the slab while creating a black hole- thingie to remove the whole Slab from earth.

After that, he's comments a few times about poor MM, ignoring the fact that he was directly responsible for MM's death.

Yup, I could just see how the initial forms for adoption would be filled out.
They would read sincere but a little bit eccentric to anyone who didn't know it was Mr. J., but with the tiniest hint of malevolence.

"Single stage actor/comedian looking to benefit a boy and make his life happier. I always see the happiness in life. I wish to impart my unique sense of mischief, entrepreneurial spirit, and respect for life."

Something like that.

I can't recall which writer it was who noted that the thing about the Joker is that he find out what creeps you out and then do it to you, just to keep you off balance. I think that would qualify...

Several writers have said something to that effect, the latest being Morrison. It was actually even expanded to answer the question about Joker's sexuality, with the answer being that Joker is of the sexuality that makes the other person uncomfortable.

It's from a discussion between Oracle and Black Canary. Basically Dinah just learned that Joker doesn't actually have a terminal disease and thinks that using that information they can get Joker to stop. The answer from Babs is that with anyone else except the Joker, that might even work.

I threw the No Man's Land novelization across the room when Sarah died, but I totally cracked up at "Call Gordon, ask for Sarah, then hang up. Repeat." It's just so hilariously awful.

I love the implication that he wants the think tank's help not with developing the Crazy Rain, but with naming it.
