Been waiting a long time to see what was driving Loki to kill Thor. This is perfect.

I just recently read this mini and absolutely LOVED it. The entire thing was a perfect moment as far as I'm concerned. Of course, I'm a sucker for villains that are sympathetic on some level, so this hit all the right buttons. Poor, poor Loki.

Yeah, it has to suck to get that assignment if you're even the least bit intelligent (which most tricksters are).

He should at least have tried to get his name changed to make it LESS obvious on first reading. "God of Public Relations", "God of Press Releases" something like that.

While this is an excellent mini, I have to argue that this is a better OPM:

This mini made me feel bad for Loki and it made me scream at everyone for branding him evil and shunning him since the start. Also I was extra angry at Thor too since he did stop loving him and when Sif appeared and made fun of Loki he just laughed with her, jerk. But yeah in every other medium Loki is an ass and it comes with the whole trickster God thing.

The Thor and Loki relationship is really interesting, it's like they dislike each other but they kind of care for each other? I don't know but the way Thor reacted when Sentry killed Loki, he was pissed.

Though I kinda prefer Loki taking on the Disir single-handed. I like me some visceral, I guess.

I would really like to read a comic where Thor and Loki mend their fences, if only for a brief period. They really do have a fascinating relationship, since it's basically brotherly love inverted and given a properly Wagnerian sort of melodrama - it would be interesting to see how they interact when they're NOT fighting each other.

They're the original buddy-cop odd-couple. (okay, not really, sink Enk & Gil was ding it before them, but still...)

Really, that's one of the reasons I can never quite get into Marvel' version of Thor. They lack that wonderful dynamic.

In a sense, the MU version is like the sequel to the myths - they USED to be all buddy-buddy, but now things have flip-flopped. What's interesting is the hints you get of their former relationship.
