This sort of reminds me of that "Gotham Knights" issue by Devin Grayson which showed a day in the life of Gotham City and Batman.

It was a nice reminder that Bruce's daily heroics didn't always start at dusk nor involve him wearing the cowl and beating on people; he also used his clout as "Bruce Wayne, CEO of Waynecorp" to help other people's lives in very practical and modest ways throughout the day.

Are there any good Batman stories that just involve him tackling a major crisis as Bruce Wayne?

This scan also reminds me of a really good Batman: Black and White story where Batman checks up on a reformed convict he gave a second chance to.

During No Man's Land, Bruce left for Washington to try to get the city rebuilt. Though outside of that I don't know.

There's a DCAU Bats story about Bruce serving on a jury that was posted way back on SD 1.0. It was pretty great.

Oh, I've been waiting for someone to post this! Curse my laziness at not unpacking my scanner since my move!

It's the little moments like this that makes you realize just why the Batman is such a great character. He might not be as public or widely adored like Superman, but when it comes down to it, the people who truly need Batman truly appreciate him.


...At least when they're not under a stupid editorial mandate that makes everyone in Gotham a moron for not believing that he even exists, even when he's been part of some of the most public Justice League teams (International and JLA).

I gotta post a few more pages from this ish... does this still count as a new issue, limiting it only to 3-4 pages per?

Morrison mentioned that with Batman Inc, he wanted to use Bruce Wayne, the man behind the mask, more often. I hope we get more moments like this. You're a supersmart billionaire out to save the world, use those resources, Bruce.

I swear, a LOT of this issue could have worked as a One Perfect Moment for Bruce. It also really shows that Morrison GETS the human side of Bruce.
