One Perfect Moment: Lois and Clark

Two pages from Superman #652.

Clark has been living a normal life with Lois following the loss of his powers in One Year Later. He works at the Daily Planet and he and Lois begin to have some semblance of a normal life. But little by little he suspects his powers might be coming back. He even tries to leap a tall building in a single bound only to land on his ass. Given the tranquility that he and Lois have have, he's a little reticent to tell her the truth.



I love Clois.

I like the part right after this, where she compares herself with the wife of a fireman. =)

This and the few pages after this (where Lois explains how she feels being Superman's wife) are why I hope to high heaven that they never break up Lois and Clark the way they broke up the Spider-marriage. They are just so perfect for each other, and work better together than apart, IMHO.

One of my favorite scenes in all of comicdom, and definitely a perfect moment!

Lois and Clark are never broken up. Just rebooted and rehashed over and over so that writers get to do the romance again and again.

The only time they're broken up is to get them back together. They are a certainty.

Oh, yes. They are my favourite characters and couple in the entire DC universe for precisely these kind of reasons.

I love Lois and Clark. There are other characters who I sometimes ship them with in fanfiction, but I always come back to this pairing and am very happy that it's canon in nearly every incarnation.
