So, anyway...as we see in this post, despite Jor-El and Lara being alive in this world, they still end up allowing Kal to be adopted by a human family, for various reasons. Since they're alive, though, they don't have to leave it to chance, and can actually CHOOSE the family...let's look at some of the candidates....



Perry and Alice are a cute choice, but what really amused me was the other two potential couples.

Well...I don't want to belabour the point by saying WHY they amuse me...I'm sure everyone here can guess.

Could someone shed some light on this series? Originally, I thought it was a prequel about Lara and Jor-El's life before their planet went boom. But it seems to be some kind of Elseworld?

Well 'joining him' implies they sent him ahead, then followed, but that's essentially it - Jor-El was able to build a ship capable of taking all 3 of them to Earth (and has the occasional sleepless night about the fact that he was only able to save himself and his family).
