So the British Empire repurposed the Martian Tripods into Roombas?

That is so METAL. I am so working that into my Super hero rpg somehow.

That Skyline trailer, all I can think of are the little people made out of bubble foam floating around San Diego at Comic-Con.

It was beautiful.

So, wait - how did the salvage guy not realize that he was surrounded by corpses until he fell down? Wouldn't he have seen them? (Also, who's 'he'? Jack the Ripper?)
I like the detail of Japanese tourists in traditional period costume, and the mini-Tripods killing pigeons.

Ah, I see. So this is not just a 'WotW' sequel, then; they're setting this in its own little universe.

Love the retro-futuristic London skyline. Not entirely convinced that tripod carriages would quite replace the wheel, though.

(P.S is the sound in that trailer supposed to be crackily, or is there just something wrong with my speakers?)

Funny, I had the same problem.

It doesn't seem to be an intentional part of the movie - maybe a glich in the trailer?

I just realized something; the Aliens only invaded England? Really? I was kind of under the impression that the War of the Worlds was happening worldwide, and England was just the place the narrative was focusing on.

I mean, I know a lot of sci fi focuses on the Aliens invading the US, but even that makes more sense because the US is a big wide open space that makes up the third of a continent, and it gives routes to invade the rest of the world from.

But England? Its a tiny little island, and the Martians only invaded there? Isn't that a little random?
