With TEEN TITANS #88, writer J.T. Krul and artist Nicola Scott step onto one of DC’s most iconic series, and from what little we’ve revealed and teased about the book, it’s clear the new team is prepared to move the Teen Titans forward, with a healthy nod to wha’s come before. Oh, and Damian. Can’t forget him, can we?

Ever since Tomasi hedged on whether we'd see more resurrections in Brightest Day (in one of his interviews with Newsarama or CBR) I was pretty sure Lilith would be at the top of the list if it indeed happened. I mean she was killed by a Superman robot - a frikkin Superman robot - and the person killed in the same story (Winick's Graduation Day) Donna Troy already came back LONG LONG ago.

That person Kon is kissing looks like h/she is bald. I also see no indication of a mask and that ear looks a but robotic. The lips are drawn to look fuller. Is Kon is kissing a black cyborg lady?

Dude, I'm straighter than Hawkeye's arrows and I'm betting it's Tim/Kon. That'd be interesting as all fuck, to have Superboy be gay?!? It'd also speak alot to his oft-struggled father tendencies re: Lex, what with how Lex [sub]consciously feels about Clark...

Also, regarding the kiss, I'm betting they're not showing the outlines of the haircut in order to maintain suspense. Given that it's often easier to identify female characters by their haircut. And I don't think they'd have Superboy kiss a guy, so no Kon/Tim.

In case Hippie Chick is not Lilith Clay, for the sake of variety, I hope she won't be blonde and blue-eyed...

Also, I don't know, maybe it's all the disappointment and frustration I associate with this title, or still being a wee wary of Krul, or me simply not being too crazy about the line-up, but I can't muster anything past a 'meh' about this 'New Era.'

Is that Kon kissing a new character as yet unrevealed? That would show imagination.

Is that Kon kissing a revived Tana Moon? Yay for my ship, but I don't know what to think....
