That's actually a retcon of sorts, done a few years ago. In the original books, their friendship was just sort of a given. In any case, the scans for that got put up by houbanaut over here.

On his Spirou work, Munuera works on A2 pages, instead of the regular A3 format. I still can't understand how the hell he's even able to usea that thing, but I'm grateful for the amount of details it allows him to put in there.

Heh. As a Canadian, A2 and A3 formats are unfamiliar, exotic concepts I've only seen in books.

A3 paper is 297 x 420 mm, or 11.7 x 16.5 in
A2 paper, is 420 x 594 mm, or 16.5 x 23.4 in

So yeah, he works in a huuuuuge paper >_>

Just curious, how do people in Canada catalog their paper sizes then?

Mostly the standard measurements are 8.5 x 11 in for letter paper, 8.5 x 14 in for legal and 11x17 in for oversize, with sketchbooks typically measuring 9x12 in, 11x14 in and a variety of larger sizes. The terms A2, A3, A4, etc. aren't typically used over here in favour of straight measurement.

Overall, the standard is the same for North America in general.

But I'm a graphic design student, perhaps that's why A-something paper doesn't puzzle me... >_>

Yeah, I'm an animation student, so paper is defined in "fields". So we don't really talk about the A series much.

I'm kinda moving away from deviantART, what with their continued attempts to remove all the quality from the site. I do post semi-regularly to my blog though, which is over here.

Most of what I've been posting recently has been "on location" sketches, but I expect there'll be a few different things once school starts, though.
