Sure everybody loves Spider-girl, it's her universe. But man, Bluestreak is all kinds of awesome.

Nope, she has no relation to Quicksilver aside from her being a mutant with super speed who purposely patterned her costume after him.

Similarly she was introduced alongside Crimson Curse who wasn't directly related to Scarlet Witch but was the daughter of Agatha Harkness and the former teacher of Scarlet Witch.

Actually, they never said one way or another, but her given name is Blue Kelso. Of course, wouldn't be the first time that someone in that family has assumed a different name, but I don't think she is.

Mayday is (right now) my favorite Spidey character and my favorite alt-verse character in either DC or Marvel. A sure sign that "marriage" didn't age Peter to where he was unrelatable or that the Spidey universe was doomed if OMD had never happened.Ironic that Joe Q has said he likes her when because of the Spidey "Brain Trust" she will never be born in the 616 MU.

I love this universe, its so much more optismistic and hopeful than the current MU and Ultimate. Especially on the spider-side of things. Even Wolverine got a happy ending being married to Elektra and having a daughter. I know Cyclops still around from his appearance in J2 and Last Hero standing. but I would like to know abotu the other X-Men, like I heard that there was a battle that took the lives of some of them similar to what happen to some of the Avengers in MC2. I hope Nightcrawler is alive and I would love it if Wolverine made Kurt, Rina's uncle snice Psylocke is her godmother. I would love it if Gambit/Rogue got a happier ending too.

Claremont did do an alt-verse not too long ago with the kids of Gambit & Rogue, Soctt & Emma, Piotr & Kitty(?) etc. And I think the daughter of Storm & Wolverine.

It has some dark corners, but thinking about it, yes, it is a much happier universe. MAybe that's why Marvel yanked it?

Like Darkdevil's entire backstory, for example. (It's even worse if you're familiar with Lost Years. Man, the Tynes can't get a break.) But yeah, I loved that it was overall a happy universe. Guess we can't have happy at Marvel any more.

Locking them in a motel room and webbing the door shut, or leaving web-love-hearts on MJ's doorstep, or just bitch-slapping Carlie, Norah and (whatever Menace's real name is) at seemingly random moments.

I reeeaaaallly reaaaaallly want a crossover with 616 and Spidergirl verse, because she's just too awesome a character. I remember wanting the trades when I was TEN, since I read one of the first comics in a collected issue in a store, but I didn't have the money to buy it.

This is what got me into comics. A tiny shop opened on mainsteet and they had the first little digest. Now my my shelves are full and I'm up to my sixth long box.

Some of this (Spider-Girl, mostly) worked better than other bits (Buzz), but it at least showed Marvel a way forward from simply trotting out the same old legacy characters that, sadly, they haven't followed.

Agreed - MC2 is pretty much solid, unadulterated awesome. I've only read bits and pieces of the early stuff, mind you, and scans from the 'American Dream' mini that were posted on here, but judging from that? Solid, unadulterated awesome.
