Just like BoP, I actually like this book, but also like BoP, I can't 100% enjoy it due to the aftertaste of what is CfJ and the Rise and Fall nonesense and the knowledge of knowing that we got this at the expense of those books. All in all, I actually do find this book to be a good read. That's just me.

~Dinah, Clark, Hal, and Bruce walk into the clearing~

"I'm just gonna skip the anger and profanity and juts get right down to it. Just explain it, it's gonna be real stupid so let's just get it over with."

"Okay so, Hal figured that, ya know, you've done so much for the JLA that you deserve a little recognition. So we figured that we'd do sort of a "This is Your Life thing"

"So you shot me with a fucking arrow? Then had Prince Valient give me a discount baptism? Jesus Christ, why would you listen to an idea from Hal? The guy who has fucked an underage alien, become a super monster who destroyed teh fucking universe and who keeps trying out for the cast of The Real World? Jesus Christ."

"In my defense I think I could really bring a flair to the show"

"Shut up Hal. Look if you're gonna bitch every time we shoot you in the head with an arrow, we're gonna be here for a long time. So how did you enjoy your past?"

"Ollie, Bruce keeps us all filled up on our parent's issues quota, let's not add anymore."

Yeah, I don't mean Black Canary, since that's a pretty low-key power. She mostly relies on her fighting and saves the cry for special occasions. The only time Hal comes into the picture is during team-ups, which isn't a frequent thing.

I just prefer Ollie to be involved in more street-level stuff. When it gets all mystical and stuff, it kind of gets away from the grounded character he feels like he's supposed to be, you know? Save the bigger stuff for when he's teaming with Hal or the League.

he just doesn't feel all that grounded to me. He uses a killing weapon daily without killing and does this intentionally. He has all kinds of trick arrows and pulls of shots that defy the laws of physics. He's only street level because some writers say he should be.

I used to love Ollie so much. Now...not so sure.
