The hills are alive with the sound of angsting.

Four scans from Avengers: The Children's Crusade #2.

Magneto shows up to meet the kids and help find Wanda; the Avengers don't think that's a good idea at all, and a brawl ensues; Wiccan zaps them out of there and to Transia, leaving the Avengers behind.  Wolverine says that this is the optimal outcome:  they'll let them find Wanda, and then take out both of them.

In Transia, the kids still aren't sure about having Magneto around.

Wait, he's not?  Since when?

At Magda's grave.  Magneto exposits about Clan Maximoff's sad, sad backstory.

They continue to look around, and Quicksilver and Doctor Doom show up (separately).

Dunno. I must admit, as much as I like the Young Allies, because it's a fairly fresh comic for Marvel, I rather like Eli where he is, but I fear comic writers have PLANS.

...Allan has mentioned that other writers have wanted to take the mantle for YA and kill some of the characters.

Kill them why? What would be the point of killing characters that actually sell comics? Writers are stupid...

What? To wit, all the characters in the YA would be in the crosshairs of being killed in the normal scheme of things: women being fridged, gays dying because they can't be in a happy relationship and the poc being supposedly crafty and betraying them all (still sore re: Alex Wilder and erm... Runaways).

If that's the case, Heinberg can keep the characters off the table until not.

I remember when the Secret Invasion YA/Runaways mini was coming out and there were whispers of Yost killing one of the kids (which he did nothing to retract from, which I actually think is funny now) and I had that exact same train of thought.

It would just be so stupid to kill any of them now- I mean, I don't want ANY of them killed off, but especially not when there's been relative little done with them compared to other Marvel characters. They're just getting started.

This. Seriously, so much this.
