REBELS 20 - What Lobo was doing

OK, so, over here we see what Vril Dox does in the latest issue of REBELS. But he went and hired Lobo last issue, so, what does the Main Man do in this one ('cuz he sure wasn't working on Dox's plan!).

What 'Bo does is be a distraction. He doesn't know he's a distraction, but that's what he's there for.

So, while Dox goes off to do what he's doing, Lobo throws down with Pulsar Stargrave, who Brainiac took control of last issue.

Oddly enough, fighting a small star doesn't initially go well for the bastich....

Ow, indeed.

But, like Dox says, Lobo's not the kind of fragger to let this sort of thing get him down...



That's right, even in a serious book, Lobo makes the rules of the universe his plaything.

God, the Devil, and even the non-sapient laws of physics are scared pissless of him.

Yes. It was given to him a little while ago in Green Lantern. He says he's considering selling it.

Never actually uses it.

Well, it could be spun that way if 'Bo wanted to, but not really.

Atrocitus wanted a way to get Jordan to trust him, so he hired Lobo to attack him, and the ring was his payment. So he never really intended to do real harm.

Lobo's healing factor is giving out in his old age. It no longer seems to fix his jacket.

WTF is Solaris doing in this? And why is Lobo able to beat him so easily? I mean, aside from Lobo being awesome, but Solaris is a threat even Superman struggles with.

He's Pulsar Stargrave, creation of Brainiac 3.

though he is designated a ' Solaris-class macroprocessor '

(which puts a rather amusing spin on his " Why aren't you using that power ring on your neck? " line later on in the issue)

Solaris is a sophisticated machine... which mean it could be copied and replicated. Or prototyped.

Last month I thought Vril Dox was smart enough to keep Lobo in line. It now seems more like Vril Dox just "aimed" Lobo.
